If you believe like we do that art shapes the human soul, you may begin to notice this reality in action everywhere. The next time you are picking a coffee shop or are planning a major event like a wedding ceremony or memorial service, ask yourself, “Why am I drawn to places of beauty?” Might it be that we were designed by a Creator God to make the world into a beautiful place? Humans have always been formed by the art they shape, the question is, Who is it shaping us into?

C.S. Lewis’ greatest book on apologetics, Mere Christianity, has sold more than 3.5 million copies, but his imaginative story about a Lion named Aslan in the mythical world of Narnia, has reached over 350 million souls. The roar of Aslan appears to have traveled further than some of our best arguments for God’s existence. The world needs more spiritually formed artists making art that displays the beauty and power of our glorious Savior. If you can hear Him roaring too, let’s abide together.
